Emilie Warren

Émilie Warren is a multimedia journalist with a passion for international affairs, social issues, travel and geography. Resourceful and adaptable, she produces print, radio and video stories.

She’s currently working as an editorial assistant at CBC Vancouver. She is a recipient of the 2021 Joan Donaldson CBC News scholarship. She has previously worked with CBC World Report, CBC Health and CBC Quebec. She has a Master’s degree in Journalism and a BA in international relations.

Her work has been featured on CBC News, Open Canada, Capital Current, Policy Talks Podcast and iAffairs. She has written same-day news stories, features, profiles, Q&As and radio scripts. She’s also produced video pieces and infographics.

Her professional experience includes working in the public sector, in event management and in administration. She has a strong capacity to think on her feet, problem-solve, and multitask.

She is proficient with a variety of digital tools including Piktochart, Flourish, Story Map, Audacity, Audition, SharePoint and MailChimp. She has experience doing web design. She is familiar with HTML coding.

Émilie is fluent in French, English and Spanish and can work in all three languages.
